2012 Mazda CX-5 Diesel boosting blues

Here was an interesting case study. This mazda Cx5 diesel was very down on power and presented me with 2 trouble codes.

P0299 supercharger/turbo charger underboost condition. This one is pretty self explanatory, it sets when the engine computer detects the car isnt making enough boost, and can cause your instrument cluster to light up like a christmas tree.

P0048 fault code indicates a problem with the actuation of the boost control valve or solenoid or any wiring and controlling associated with the turbo.
